Why we exist
Arkansas boasts 23,000+ cattle farms and is the 11th largest cow herd population state in the Country. What is even more impressive is that 97% of those farms are family owned and operated. Arkansas is built of many small, intimately managed cattle farms. Hundreds of beautiful grassy hillsides and valleys speckled with premium quality cow calf pair operations. Arkansas is the poster child for resilient and sustainable beef cattle production.
It is with this in mind that we built Natural State Beef in 2020, during the height of the Covid19 Pandemic. We established our company, which is 100% Arkansas family owned and operated, with one goal in mind: to create space for Arkansas' small and medium sized independent, traditionally disadvantaged, cattle farmers in larger out-of-reach markets.
As lifelong Arkansas cattle producers ourselves, we understand the difficulties small producers face in obtaining opportunity in retail sores, restaurants, and institutions. In the past 4 years, we are excited for the successes we have seen and are ambitious as we seek to expand our efforts and continue to bolster our Arkansas beef cattle industry.
