Why we exist
For producers and consumers alike, various problems were brought to light during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the problems that acutely affected every American was the sudden lag in meat production. The average family was willing to pay double for hamburger meat of much less value than they were accustomed to. This drastic price increase, plus a plummet in quality, was simply a natural response to a decrease in processing, and thus a decrease in supply.
At Natural State Beef, we immediately recognized the situation for what it was: a natural result of maintaining a food supply chain that was too long, with too many unreliable components. With 23,000+ cattle farms in Arkansas (11th largest in the US for cow herd population), we should always be able to keep our neighbors and friends fed with high quality beef at an affordable price.
Our vision is to buy beef cows from local Arkansas small-medium size family farms and ranches, have the beef processed right here in Arkansas, and distribute it to consumers all across the Nation who are looking for a better quality ground beef.
The concept is simple: Arkansas farmers feeding American families.
