Why we exist
The closer you are to the root of your food source, the better! If you were unable to grow a garden, but your neighbor had a beautiful garden and shared her harvest with you, that would be a great second option! We understand it is not possible for most people to raise and butcher their own beef. Comparing the garden example above, Natural State Beef is in the same way offering you a great option of purchasing beef from your friends and neighbors. Our beef is all locally sourced from right here in Arkansas.
Our supply chain has strong links...
For producers and consumers alike, various problems were brought to light during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the problems that acutely affected every American was the sudden lag in meat production. The average family was willing to pay double for hamburger meat of much less value than they were accustomed to. This drastic price increase, plus a plummet in quality, was simply a natural response to a decrease in processing, and thus a decrease in supply.
We at Natural State Beef immediately recognized the situation for what it was: a natural result from maintaining a food supply chain that was too long, with too many unreliable components. With 23,000+ cattle farms in Arkansas, we should always be able to keep our neighbors and friends fed with high quality beef at an affordable price.
Our vision is to buy beef cows from local Arkansas small-medium size family farms and ranches, have the beef processed right here in Arkansas, and distribute it to Arkansans.
The concept is simple: Arkansas farmers feeding American families.
