Natural State Beef is whole cow ground beef
In our ground beef, we include all of the premium cuts that would typically be set aside and sold at a higher price - steak, roasts, tenderloin, etc. This gives our ground beef a unique flavor profile that sets us apart from most other ground beef. Our ground beef actually tastes like steak!
Our beef is 100% locally sourced in Arkansas
Natural State Beef is a unique business because our ground beef is all procured in Arkansas. We purchase all of our cows locally, either directly from local farmers, or through livestock auctions. This is a one of a kind business model built to support and partner with the Arkansas cattle community, and to create an opportunity for cattle operators to become a direct part of Arkansas' beef supply chain - Arkansas farmers feeding Arkansas families.
Absolutely no Beta Agonist
Our cattle are pasture raised in a natural, comfortable environment. We never treat our cattle with beta agonist. We believe this is a big factor contributing to the delicious, natural flavor and aroma that our customers know and love. Ractopamine, a common beta agonist, is banned in 160 countries, including several European countries, but still allowed in the United States.
We do not use pink slime - EVER.
Pink slime is a lean finely textured product derived from beef sinew and cartilage that is added to much of the ground beef you will find in stores today. Aside from enhancing producers bottom line, pink slime does nothing but lower the quality and flavor profile of the finished product. It is very lean and can raise the lean to fat ratio but it is flavorless.
